On the 7th of August 2026, Catholic High Scout Group was honoured to be part of the National Day contingent at Catholic High School, joining the school in celebrating Singapore’s 61st Birthday. We are proud to announce that both our Primary School Cub Scouts and Secondary School Scouts were part of the parade.

Prior to the actual parade, our Scouts diligently trained every week to perfect their foot drills, paying close attention to their timing, and coordination. Through countless hours of practice and preparation, they worked together to ensure that every movement was carried out with precision and unity.
Their hard work and dedication ultimately paid off on the actual day, as they marched with sharpness, confidence, and synchronisation, proudly representing the Catholic High Scout Group and upholding the image and spirit of both our Scout Troop and our nation.

Below is a reflection from Jovial Kam, 2026 Scouts contingent commander and Senior Patrol Leader, on this year’s parade:
“After weeks of rehearsals and training, seeing our Scouts finally perform on National Day filled me with an immense sense of pride. As we marched and executed our drills with sharpness and precision, I felt that every moment of exhaustion and struggle had truly been worthwhile.
Yet, what surprised me most was how quickly the parade passed. After countless hours of preparation, the moment we had been working towards seemed to be over in the blink of an eye. As the saying goes, “台上一分钟,台下十年功”, although our performance lasted only a short while, it represented countless hours of hard work, discipline and perseverance.
What made me even prouder was seeing us perform not as individuals, but as one cohesive Scout unit. Every movement had to be synchronised, and watching everyone give their utmost effort made me realise how far we had come together.
Looking back, I am grateful for the challenges we faced and the memories we created along the way. I am honoured to have represented Catholic High Scouts in celebrating our nation's 61st birthday, and I will always remember this National Day Parade as the moment when all our hard work finally came to fruition.”
Through this experience, the Scouts learned the value of perseverance and strengthened their discipline, while also forging meaningful memories together. We hope that they will continue to carry these values with them and apply them in their everyday lives. Happy Birthday Singapore!
