TROOP BEFORE SELF
Troop > Unit > Patrol > Self
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Our loyalty and duty must always lie first with the troop, then the unit, before our patrol and least of all ourselves. For our troop, we must face challenges with resolve, to do what is best for it. To serve its interest, no matter the cost to our unit, patrol or even ourselves.
智仁勇
Wisdom. Benevolence. Courage.
These three characters represent the foremost values our Scout Troop espouses.
Wisdom, the rarest of all, comes with age. It not only refers to technical knowledge or skills. but also the ability to make strategic decisions in the interest of the troop. However, it must be guided by benevolence, for it is fallible to evil and inaction.
Benevolence, the most important of all, is infallible and the keystone value. It refers to kindness, love and morality. As the purest value of humanity, it must never falter in our daily conduct. It is a moral compass, guiding both wisdom and courage.
Courage, more important than wisdom, is bravery in the face of adversity. It not only refers to the bravery to act, but also the moral courage. However, it must be guided by both benevolence and wisdom, for it is fallible to malice and impulse.
Each value is endowed with a specific colour, Blue for Wisdom, Yellow for Courage and White for Benevolence. They form the colours of our troop and is the symbolic framework of our troop.
这三个字代表童子军应该有的人格特质。
智指有智慧有知识。它是三达德其中的最难得。它不只指表面上的技能，还指代表童军应有的知识与经验，确保我们事情能做得好，做得快，而为团队争光。但，智可以有正和歪的，因此需要以仁指引。
仁指爱人、仁慈、仁爱。它是三达德中的最重要的。它代表童军应有的善良，慈爱和道义。它没有正歪之分，是三达德规范的核心。因此，它是我们生活中的指北针，引导我们为团队尽本分。
勇指勇敢无畏。它是三达德中的最基本的。它代表童军要有的勇气；面对挑战时，不逃避放弃，面对和克服困难。它也指要有正气，不恤人言地主持公道。但，勇可以有正和歪的，因此需要以仁指引。
“好学近乎知，力行近乎仁，知耻近乎勇”，并称为 “三达德”， 集散中最主要的道德规范。在儒家看来，这三个道德规范不是平列的，其中仁是核心。

Do a good turn daily
This phrase inculcates within it the scouting motto of ‘Do a Good Turn Daily’, to be upheld by our Scouts. By abiding by this motto, we serve the community, and ensure that we remain humble and ready to help anyone in need.
我们的童子军将遵守这句话。它在其中灌输了 “每日做一件好事” 的座右铭。通过遵守这个格言，我们为社区服务，并确保我们保持谦虚，并随时准备帮助有需要的人。
深谋远虑
Look wide
To look wide is to have strategic foresight, which refers to providence for the future, to see strategic threats and opportunities before they arrive. It is the motto for our Ventures. As seniors, the Ventures have to have the responsibility of planning and executing a myriad of events. This signifies that they are trusted to have foresight and experience to lead the troop.
深谋远虑指的是能够深入的为未来计谋、考虑。深谋远虑也是先进军的格言，灌输了先进军要经过思谋，为团队做出最好的决定，领导童军。

Our Troop Logo is comprised of a inverted triangle with a cross in the center.
The colours of the inverted triangle are White and Yellow, with White representing the Heavens and Yellow representing the Earth. Together, they hold the significance of mankind. The cross represents God and the person wearing the badge represents humanity. Hence our logo symbolises the relationship of heaven and earth, God and humanity.
The colours of the logo are blue, white and yellow, also symbolising wisdom, benevolence and courage, our core values.
